YouTube is reportedly testing a feature that hides the dislike button, with some users noticing changes in its visibility.
YouTube is reportedly testing a new feature that hides the dislike button on videos. Users have noticed that the dislike button is now located in a three-dots submenu, and some have even reported it missing entirely.
This change could significantly alter user interactions with video content on the platform.
YouTube has faced criticism over how dislike counts can impact creators and viewer perceptions. The platform has previously experimented with hiding dislike counts to protect creators from harassment and negative feedback.
This potential change in YouTube's interface raises questions about user feedback mechanisms and content moderation. By obscuring the dislike button, YouTube may aim to foster a more positive environment, but it could also limit viewers' ability to express dissatisfaction.
